- IN PROGRESS: means, your application has been received at the registry but it has not been handled yet.
- VERIFIED: means, your application has been checked and has been confirmed that all the details are correct.
- REGISTERED: means, you have been registered successfully. Your TSC number is indicated here. A confirmation SMS bearing the TSC number is as well sent to you.
- RESET: means, there is an error which needs to be corrected. An SMS is sent to you stating the specific error. After correcting it, the application goes to the IN PROGRESS status.
- INCOMPLETE: means, you haven’t entered some details or the application has not been submitted.

You can be denied registration if:

- You are not of good moral character i.e. you have been convicted of a sexual offence or an offence against a learner
- You have been convicted of a criminal offence which renders you unfit to be a teacher
- You have engaged in activities that are prejudicial to peace, good order or good governance in Kenya
