It is critical to set boundaries between your small business and those close to you to ensure that your endeavour is not negatively affected - considering the fact that these individuals are the "enemies within" that’d keep you from doing what you should.
a) your Family
Your uncles and siblings and counsins and nephews are your family members but when it comes to your business they must be customers first, otherwise f*ck family.
b) your Friends
John and Jane might be your close friends but when it comes to your small business the title of best friend comes after client, else you are well-to-do without them.
c) your Spouse/Fiancé
It’s not commonplace that your better half will be an asset to your business. At times your enterprise is better off without your husband or wife, boyfriend or girlfriend.
d) your Colleagues
You workmates are or were colleagues elsewhere but when it comes to your small enterprise they must be clients first, otherwise you’re better off without such people.
e) your God
It’s neither up to God that your small business succeeds nor up to Satan that it fails, as is the stance of many people. It’s entirely up to you, and the kind of moves you make. If you run a mediocre enterprise, it isn’t the devil and you’re not cursed as some would say, you are the mediocre; if you run an exceptional one, it’s not God and you’re blessed not, you made a choice and went ahead to put in the effort to be excellent in business.
